Rainy Mood

I love it when it rains. Everything about it. The smell, the sound of it hitting the house... I even love playing in the rain. The sound of rain is probably my most favorite. It instantly calms me. I recently found a website that is my new favorite... Rainymood.com... it is so wonderful! ;)

Right now, I quite enjoy pairing rainymood.com with instrumental songs. My current obsession is cello songs. Bach's Cello Song.. (I am not sure on the exact name, but I'm sure you know what I am talking about) This song is so amazing. I could sit in a corner and listen to this song on repeat for days. I go into a sort of 'meditation' mode when I listen to this song and the rain sounds together. You should try it. ;) It is quite amazing .

Boxing and Taping and Packing, OH MY!

I have never before moved in my life.
Okay, admittedly, I did when I was three but that doesn't count!
My house is filled with boxes upon boxes upon boxes of teetering towers that at any given moment can tip over and kill me, or even my family members. So I go around. Tiptoeing so as not to upset the Box Gods. Staying quiet.  Hoping beyond hope that this is not the time when they decide to show me who's the boss. Hoping that just maybe I'll be able to get past them just one more time.
Three more days!

My not-so-secret Geek side

Hello to anyone and everyone out there who reads these... :) It has been a while...but I just wanted to quickly share my newest tv show addiction... For those of you who haven't watched BBC's Sherlock, you need to do so....now. It is so awesome. I had heard great things about it a while ago, but didn't start watching it until about last month or so. I finished it on Saturday. There are only six episodes on Netflix-three for each Series-but they are each 90 minutes. Each episode is like it's own little movie. I love it!! I cannot wait until series 3 comes out this Fall...
Anywho, watch it. You won't be disappointed.

Meggie

Upcoming movies!! :)

Ok, so I found this list on the internet for movies that are coming out in the next couple years... and I am stoked!! Here are some of them :)
Maleficent (July 2, 2014) The story of Sleeping Beauty through Maleficent's eyes... seems pretty sweet! Starring Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Sharlto Copley, Juno Temple, Sam Riley, and Imelda Staunton.
Finding Dory (November 2015) This one I knew about before :) but am just as excited.
Monsters University (June 21, 2013) Ok so I am pretty sure I am more excited for this than most kids are... :)
Ant-Man (November 6, 2015)  The story of a new super hero in the Marvel Universe ... Seems pretty cool
The Lone Ranger (July 3, 2013) Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer.. I cannot wait for this one either
The Muppets 2 (March 21, 2014) This one seems pretty awesome. This time, they're caught up in a European jewel caper masterminded by a Kermit-lookalike.
Star Wars: Episode VII (Spring 2015) Not much about the story line... but J.J. Abrams is the director, so you know it will be good :) He did the two newest Star Trek movies, TV series Alias,
The Avengers 2 (May 1, 2015) Alright who would NOT be excited for this?? I mean come on.
Saving Mr. Banks (December 20, 2013) This is a biographical drama that tells the story of "Mary Poppins" author P.L. Travers and the production of the film "Mary Poppins". Emma Thompson stars as P.L. Travers, and Tom Hanks stars as the famous Walt Disney. Other cast members: Colin Farrell, Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman, and B.J. Novak
Pirates 5 (July 10, 2015) I am not sure exactly how I feel about this :) But I hope it will be good.
Well that's the list! I cannot wait for like. .. all of these :) Hopefully there are not any disappointments :)
Ender's Game (November 2013)
See ya!

Wedding Invitations

Okay, okay. I know what you are thinking. "What is this girl doing posting about wedding invitations? She is nowhere close to getting married!" I know. I am thinking the same thing. This post is more for my future self's benefit :) I was browsing Pinterest one day... and I saw a pin of celebrity addresses for wedding invitations. They included Michael Bublè, President Obama, Mickey Mouse, Prince Charming and Cinderella, JK Rowling, Hugh Laurie, Mark Harmon, and the Queen of England! This list was just so amazing, it got me thinking, "Who do I want to send a wedding invite to?" and that train of thought is where this post came from. :) So, with a little help from my buddy Google, I came up with this list :)

Star Date -03

Hello once again :) It has been a while since I last wrote, I know. . . Life gets so hectic that somethings just have to wait a while :) But here I am now!!

Last night, there was  CES Fireside. Elder Jeffrey R. Holland was the speaker. He is one of my favorites to listen to. He gives it to you straight. Tonight, he talked about having integrity and standing for what you know to be right. One of his points was to NEVER check your religion at the door-whether it be a sporting event, a social party, etc. Your religion and your standards go with you wherever you may be. It really stuck out to me. I don't think I am one to hide and be ashamed of my standards, but I know I can always do better to stand up for what I know to be right. I cannot remember who it was he quoted, but they said, "You are not bound to tell everything you believe, but you ARE bound to not appear as you do not believe." That quote really struck me. How often do we say we believe 'such and such' but not live it? I hope I can be better at living what I believe.

I know this was more of a religious post, but it was something I wanted to share :)
